Description

You will have the opportunity to work on a new piece about current events in Syria by Syrian playwright Mohammad Al Attar. You will build puppets and work on performance techniques to bring the play to life.

The workshop is free but limited to 12 participants.

Join Shadow Puppet Theatre at IMPACT 11 for three short Shadow Puppet plays. Be punctual...or the shadows will vanish before you can see them. (These fall between the festival's mainstage productions at 7pm and 9pm the evenings of September 21st — 25th.)

Beyond the Vent is a quest film featuring two beloved sock puppets. Jack sock's right sock Jill is kidnapped by evil gremlins and carried off to the land beyond the dryer vent. Jack goes on a quest to rescue her and along the way he encounters the Oracle, the evil gremlins, a very unusual mentor and many many more. In the meantime Jill is hard at work on an escape plan of her own...
